Nazarene Blogosphere (weekly?) Roundup - November 1, 2005
Ok...so it's been a while since we've gotten a roundup! I've been quite busy this last month building our new district NYI website. You can visit it at www.mainenyi.com. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the site and the design!
This roundup will contain a recent highlight post from each of the Nazarene blogs that I'm aware of. I hope you'll take time to visit each blog, read several posts, and leave a comment to encourage your favorite blogger.
As always, if you are one of the bloggers I link to, and you feel that I didn't quite capture the essence of your post, let me know (jon at yourchurchweb dot net). Also, if you'd rather not be included in the roundup, or if I've missed you and you'd like to be included, let me know.
All Nazarene bloggers are also invited to join the Nazarene Blogroll. Simply display the blogroll on your blog and let me know that you'd like to be included. Instructions can be found here.
Without any further commentary, here we go (in no particular order)!
- Darren Joyce posts a sermon that he preached recently to a Youth Group. He dealt with the lectionary passage for the week, the parable of the Wedding Banquet as recorded in Matthew 22:1-14.
- Mark Doble tells an incredible story of Divine Intervention in the life of a young lady.
- Mike makes some noise about politicians making timely donations and loans to churches just in time for election day.
- Pastor Larry returns from his short term missions trip to Ecuador, and posts several blog entries in his Ecuador category.
- Pastor John Wright posts some reflections on the Eucharist as it relates to peace.
- Brandon Hill writes about the importance of icons--both in our culture and on our computers!
- Chaplain Gentles blogs some of his thoughts about seasons, winter, and the Chronicles of Narnia.
- Hans Deventer posts a prayer about enemies that he found on Brian McLaren's website.
- Marsha Lynn recounts a story about moments with strangers during a recent retreat.
- Pastor Scott continues his devotional blogging. He's up to Deuteronomy 13, and writes about situational ethics.
- Billy Cox opened a new blog at seekerbillycox.blogspot.com.
- Be sure to send congratulations to Dave Pettigrew on the arrival of his new bundle of Grace!
- Kevin Rector offers his thoughts on the new hockey rules.
- Beth Shurbutt explains the different between praise and thanks, and exhorts us to praise God in all situations.
Grace and Peace,
PastorJon
